By installing your one of your own, two things can take place. To start off, everyone knows that fountains add beauty and contribute to a soothing ambiance. There is nothing more desirable at the end of an extremely tiring day than the relaxing nature of trickling water. Your site will be even more elegant as well. Also, having people over will be more fun, as your lovely fountain will encourage guests to connect and take photos.

Secondly, the fish in your pond will get healthier water if you install this kind of water feature. Fish are much better off if their water is flowing around and getting oxygen, and a pond fountain will do both of those things. The better-oxygenated and constantly flowing water will ensure your fish are around for a long time. You will observe an improvement in your plants as well.

Eco-Friendly Fountains: Good for the Environment

Do you desire to make your personal space just a little more stunning? Well, you can add that special touch and augment the value of your home just by adding a solar water fountain. They are the same as electric fountains in that they help with one's overall well-being but they also offer financial benefits.

Even though there may be a significantly greater expense at the beginning, the long-term investment will make it worthwhile. You will not have to concern yourself about energy shortages since your fountain will not be powered by electricity.

Your monthly electric bill will most likely go up with running water fountains. The short-term perks may not be noticeable, but keep in mind that the increased worth of your home will be later on.

Spending more money on our electric bills is not the only downside - the environment is highly affected too. Solar driven water fountains are a good alternative to becoming “green”. Using solar energy to run our homes as well as a water feature is important because it also protects our environment.

Less maintenance is a result of adding this kind of fountain. As there is no electrical motor that can get clogged, little cleaning is required. And because there is little cleaning to do, you will have more time to play!

Aqueducts: The Remedy to Rome's Water Problems

Aqua Anio Vetus, the first raised aqueduct founded in Rome, commenced supplying the people living in the hills with water in 273 BC, although they had relied on natural springs up until then. Over this time period, there were only 2 other innovations capable of providing water to high areas, subterranean wells and cisterns, which amassed rainwater. To supply water to Pincian Hill in the early sixteenth century, they implemented the new process of redirecting the stream from the Acqua Vergine aqueduct’s underground channel. Throughout the length of the aqueduct’s passage were pozzi, or manholes, that gave entry. While these manholes were developed to make it much easier to protect the aqueduct, it was also possible to use buckets to pull water from the channel, which was exercised by Cardinal Marcello Crescenzi from the time he invested in the property in 1543 to his death in 1552. Despite the fact that the cardinal also had a cistern to amass rainwater, it couldn't provide a sufficient amount of water. Thankfully, the aqueduct sat directly below his residence, and he had a shaft opened to give him access.

The Father Of Rome's Water Feature Design

There are countless famous water fountains in the city center of Rome. One of the most distinguished sculptors and designers of the 17th century, Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed, conceptualized and constructed nearly all of them. Traces of his life's efforts are evident throughout the roads of Rome simply because, in addition to his abilities as a water feature creator, he was also a city architect. Bernini's father, a renowned Florentine sculptor, mentored his young son, and they ultimately moved to Rome, in order to fully express their art, primarily in the form of public water fountains and water features. An outstanding employee, Bernin earned praise and the the backing of popes and well known artists. His sculpture was initially his claim to fame.

An authority in ancient Greek engineering, he used this knowledge as a platform and melded it seamlessly with Roman marble, most notably in the Vatican. He was affected by many great artists, however, Michelangelo had the biggest effect on his work.

The Famed Revelation Garden Fountain at the Gardens of Chatsworth

Designed by celebrated British sculptor Angela Conner, "Revelation" is the most recent addition to the Chatsworth decorative outdoor water fountains. The now deceased 11th Duke of Devonshire commissioned her, due to her work in brass and steel, to make a limited edition bust of Queen Elizabeth in celebration of the Queen’s 80th birthday. In 1999 Revelation was placed in Jack Pond, one of Chatsworth’s oldest ponds. Alternatively camouflaging and revealing a golden globe at the sculpture’s center, the metallic fountain takes on the form of four large petals that open and close with the movement of water. A gold dust painted steel globe was created and added to the large sculpture standing five meters in height and five meters wide. The petals move based on the movement of water, making this installation an interesting addition to the Chatsworth Garden grounds.
